Yukata's are said to originally have been unlined kimono's that were worn by nobles when they bathed. It then spread from just nobility, when commoners started wearing colourful versions during Bon-Odori (a traditional Japanese dance) which rose to popularity at the start of the edo era. Made from a light polyester material, this jacket can be worn in the summer heat to add style to your outfit.
